Tanjung Pendam Beach
Tanjung Pendam beach is located in Tanjung Pandan city with a total area of 22 hectare. Kalamoa Island can be seen from Tanjung Pendam Beach, in Kalamoa Island there is a temple for Thionghoa people. Tanjung Pendam has become a recreation place for local people; there are many facilities such as restaurants & cafes with live music at night, jogging track, futsal & volleyball areas, children playground, and souvenir & handcrafts gallery. On top of that, this beach is also very famous to have the best view of sunset and sunrise.
Tanjung Tinggi Beach
Tanjung Tinggi is one of the most popular beaches in Belitung. This beach is famous with its crystal clear blue water and white sandy beach. The granite rocks that surrounded the beach make it even more beautiful and has catches many eyes. There are many local restaurants that serve fresh seafood such as “Gangan” Belitung’s traditional seafood dishes. It only takes 20 minutes from Tanjung pandan to Tanjung Tinggi. Tanjung Tinggi is also famous through Laskar Pelangi movie. If you visit Belitung, never miss this place.
Tanjung Kelayang Beach
Tanjung Kelayang is very close to Tanjung Tinggi beach and is also one of the most beautiful beaches in Belitung. The yearly Sail Indonesia event is held in this beautiful beach. Where hundreds of yacht from all over the world stays for a few days to celebrate the event, enjoy the culture and traditional cuisines of Belitung Island. This beach is also the port used for visiting popular islands of Belitung, which now has become the most attractive activities for most of tourist who visit Belitung. It only takes 20 minutes from Tanjung Pandan to this beautiful beach.
Teluk Gembira & Seliu Island
This place is a well-known holiday destination for local people as well as tourist who visit Belitung. Teluk Gembira is also known for a seaport of Seliu Island. Seliu village is very beautiful as it covered by white sands and crystal clear blue water surrounding by artistic granite rocks. Most of Seliu people work as fisherman and farmer. Dry fish, dry coconut, manggo and emping (chip) are the food products that produce from Seliu Island. The boat trip to Seliu will take about 30 minutes from Teluk Gembira and it takes one hour to Teluk Gembira from Tanjungpandan.
Batu Baginde
This area is located in Tanjung Kiras close to Teluk Gembira. Batu Baginde is a cliff of very huge granite rock, fantastic scenery. It is recently becoming very famous among the local people and the tourist. For you who love extreme sports you can try rock climbing Batu Baginde. It will be a fun experience that you don’t want to miss!
Kaolin Mining Lake
Kaolin Mining Lake is created as a negative impact from the clay mining activity. However it has become very beautiful scenery that catches many eyes, now it is one of the most popular tourist destinations. It takes about 15 minutes from Tanjung Pandan to get to this place.
Lengkuas Island
Lengkuas is a small island, located in North of Tanjung Binga village. The golden crown of Lengkuas is the old lighthouse, built by Dutch in 1882. All visitors can freely going up to the top of lighthouse, the view from the top is very magnificent. Lengkuas can be reach by rental boat from Tanjung Binga or Tanjung Kelayang Beach. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes from main land to Lengkuas by boat. Visitors can enjoy sailing, swimming in Crystal clear blue water, snorkeling with beautiful coral reefs & colorful fishes. This is a very nice place for relaxing, as the winds blow is fresh, and you can enjoy lie down in a white sands beach surrounded by coconuts trees.
Pasir Island
Don’t miss to visit Pasir Island when you go to Lengkuas Island. This island is very unique as it only visible during low tide and will disappear during high tide. In this Island you can find unique creature a very beautiful big starfish, these starfishes are spread-surrounded Pasir Island.
